This Year I Finally Took The Plunge: I had been thinking about donating my car to charity for some time. I'd heard commercials on the radio for the last year or two about goodwill car donations and how they will even come and pick up your car for you. But it never really sunk in till I got ready to buy a new car (well, a new used car!) and realized that I wouldn't really get all that much for my trade in.

It Wasn't that my car was no good: it still runs ok. Heck, it has a fairly new engine in it. So as far as that sort of thing goes, it will be a good car for someone and probably will have several more years of useful life left in it. It was just time for me to get something new. That's when I started thinking about donating my car.

Donate Car and Get a Tax Write Off: I'll have to admit it to you, I was more interested in the tax write off than I was with helping a charity. Don't get me wrong, I really like the idea of helping a charity out with such a huge gift, but my prime deal was getting as much as I could in tax relief!
