Their purpose is to help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Located in Upper Marlboro Maryland, Melwood has helped over two thousand people in the greater Washington DC area with developmental disabilities.

Melwood has received over one hundred and fifty THOUSAND car donations. So you should know, they have the staff and the experience to take full advantage of your generosity and are well able to handle your car donation. What Does Melwood Accept as a Donation: Melwood accepts cars, vans, trucks, boats with trailers, and even recreational vehicles. And unlike some charities, Melwood accepts your car donation twenty four hours a day, seven days a week. Feel like donating your car at three in the morning on a Tuesday? No problem, Melwood can accommodate you!

Melwood Hours Of Operation: While their car donation service is available, their regular business hours for everything else are Monday through Thursday, eight AM to eight PM, Friday eight AM to seven PM, and Saturday nine AM to seven PM. They are completely closed on Sundays (except of course, for the car donation service).

How Much Will Pickup and Delivery Cost you? Melwood car donations are available FREE, coast to coast. That is to say, they will tow your vehicle if you can't bring it out yourself (or if you just don't want to do it!). They offer this free service just about everywhere in the United States.

And don't worry about fixing up the car or truck or van if it is broken. Melwood is well prepared to do that for you. They have a whole system in place, including repair staff that can take care of any problems your car may have, freeing you from any work whatsoever. It really can't get much easier than this, and that's a pretty big reason why so many people take up a Melwood car donation.

And What about Tax Deductions? Melwood will handle all this. Just give them a call and tell them your cars make and model number, tell them the general condition of the car (what shape is it in? Does it need work or repairs to run? Does it need substantial body work? That sort of thing). And be sure to tell them the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number). Melwood will then MAIL you a Non-Cash charitable contributions tax form, taking care of everything you need as far as tax deductions go.
